The Client:
A U.S.-mainland-based installation company, working for an international hotel brand that recently took over properties in Guam and Saipan
The Challenge:
As part of a complete renovation & refurbishment of two existing resorts, DeWitt Guam was hired as a subcontractor to install all-new gym equipment in each hotel’s fitness center.
The Client:
Guam Power Authority, a large public utility with 500+ employees
The Challenge:
Both clients requested that DeWitt Guam complete the installations in a set timeframe, prior to the store opening, to minimize impact to the store’s aesthetics and to shoppers. For both installations, DeWitt Guam was tasked with scheduling the delivery and installation with the point of contact at the store in Guam.
The Client:
A U.S. supply company with an installation contract for the headquarters of a civil engineering response force squadron, located at a military airfield on Guam
The Challenge:
The timeline was one of the most important elements of this project. DeWitt Guam was given 10 days to execute a four-building office installation. A variety of elements challenged this schedule, all of which DeWitt Guam was able to overcome.
The Client:
A large military hospital on Guam with over 700 employees, equipped to serve over 25,000 beneficiaries
The Challenge:
As one of many subcontractors working on a large-scale project to move the hospital to its brand-new facility, DeWitt Guam was tasked with executing a furniture, fixtures and equipment move (FF&E) as part of a tightly-managed, complex project.
The Client:
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), which was tasked with supporting local recovery efforts after Typhoon Mawar, a Category 4 storm.
The Challenge:
After Typhoon Mawar, FEMA primarily leveraged the DeWitt Guam team for trucking solutions to move critical supplies to the parts of the island that needed them most. In addition to pick-up and delivery, DeWitt Guam is also equipped to offer a comprehensive range of services, including LCL air freight and ocean freight; warehousing; vessel and air charter services; and labor.
The Client:
A Hawaii-based interior design firm handling the design and installation of a new office space for a squadron headquartered at a Guam military base
The Challenge:
The overall project was running behind schedule, so the building was still under construction when it came time for the DeWitt Guam team to complete the installation. Additionally, after the initial installation, on-site contractors encountered problems with the building’s wiring and floors—problems that required the DeWitt Guam team to disassemble, move, and, ultimately, reinstall 90% of the office furnishings.
The Client:
A Hawaii-based interior design firm handling the design and installation of a new office space at a corrosion control hangar on a Guam military base
The Challenge:
When it came time for the DeWitt Guam team to begin installation, the building wasn’t complete. Whereas the team would normally establish their own project flow and procedures for maximum efficiency, the DeWitt Guam installation team had to work around the construction in progress.
