Chamorro, Japanese, Thai, German, and More
Attend any party on Guam, and you’ll find food at the heart of the celebration. Guam’s residents take their food seriously, which may be why you’ll find so many delicious restaurants on the island. Guam also doesn’t lack for variety when it comes to its culinary scene. You’ll find places serving everything from traditional Chamorro delicacies to Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Thai, Pacific Rim, and even German dishes.
If you also take your food seriously, use our guide below to explore the best of Guam’s restaurants, one by one:
Meskla
Chamorro Fusion
A DeWitt Guam team favorite, Meskla is one of our team’s go-to spots for enjoying traditional Chamorro cuisine with a twist. (Meskla means “mix” in Chamorro.)
Try their Chamoru Chesa’ Platter to get a sampling of three traditional Chamorro offerings in one:
- Kelaguen hafa – prepared like ceviche, but may use chicken, beef, or deer as the protein
- Tinala’ katni – dried, cured beef often served with fina’denne’, a spicy dipping sauce
- Hinetnon tapun – clam bake
Their barbecue chicken and ribs are also excellent—and come with the DeWitt Guam team’s stamp of approval!
