About John Burrows

John Burrows grew up in the moving industry, starting by sweeping warehouses and conducting surveys for the family business while still in high school. In 1992, Richard DeWitt invited John to help expand the family business and manage DeWitt Guam. Over the past 30 years, John has held numerous roles within the moving industry and has developed extensive expertise in moving to, from, and within Guam. Today, he serves as the Chairman of the International Association of Movers, the world’s largest organization for movers, advocating for moving businesses of all sizes and locations. Through his blogs, John shares his unique experience, knowledge, and perspective, providing valuable insights to readers worldwide.

Dewitt Moving & Storage Helps Local High School

Together with the Rotary Club of Guam and numerous other sponsors, Dewitt Moving & Storage donated it’s time and facilities to help bring more than 6,000 books to different schools in the region.  An assortment of fiction, history, science, adult non-fiction and numerous other genres will now entertain and educate students in the Philippines, Pohnpei and Guam. Corine Berking, President, Victor Valenzuela, Vice President  and Rotary Club of Guam member spearheaded this community service.  Together, with Rotary, they directed the receiving, storage and deliveries of the books to John F. Kennedy High School on Guam and local freight forwarders for the distribution to the Philippines [...]

Towing the Lines to Save Lives- United Airlines Plane Pull 2015

For the past 10 years United Airlines along with the Guam community have been “towing the line to save lives” to raise money for the American Cancer Society and Guam Cancer Care.  At this year's event, DeWitt Guam was honored and recognized for supporting and participating in the United Plane Pull for the last decade. On April 25th, forty teams from around the island came together to participate in this years fun filled event.  With 100% of the proceeds go to the American Cancer Society and Guam Cancer Care. Each team competing to pull a 737 United aircraft a little more than 12 feet across the finish line. 2013 United Plane Pull – DeWitt Takes 2nd Place

DeWitt Moving and Storage Guam placed 2nd out of 35 teams for the 2013 United Airlines Plane Pull. All proceeds raised at the United Airlines event were donated to American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.  This year's event raised more than $150,000 for the society. Congratulations to everyone that participated. "Team Dewitt displays their team banner during the parade of teams at the 8th Annual Plane Pull hosted by United on April 20 at United Hangar in Tiyan." American Red Cross “Red Ball” Fundraiser

Dewitt Moving and Storage, Guam participated in the American Red Cross annual “Red Ball” fundraiser. Companies from throughout the Island came together to raise funds for the American Red Cross. 100% of the proceeds goes towards assisting the community in need of emergency shelter and basic necessities during times of crisis.  Guam has a history of natural disasters and the ARC is a vital part of the community who rallies up supplies and volunteer to help those in need. DeWitt Moving and Storage Guam is proud to be a contributor in their efforts.

DeWitt Transportation Services (Soroptimist) Donation to St. Dominic’s Senior Care Center

Dewitt Moving & Storage, Guam in conjunction with Soroptimist International of the Marianas, hosted its Annual Grandparents' Day event at St. Dominic's Senior Care Center! The event was held on Saturday September 8, 2012.  Activities included pampering by Mariacy Beauty School and entertainment by SIGMA.  DeWitt participated , along with other local business in donating essential items needed for St. Dominic’s Center which included Body Wash, Laundry Detergent , Bleach, and Toiletries items.
